Typar Weed Barriers are the strongest non-woven weed barriers on the market today. Not only is it excellent as a soil separator and stabilization fabric it is an excellent choice as an underlayment beneath your artificial grass. It is often used in one of two ways - either as a soil separator between your native soil & your subbase material or as a weedbarrier placed immediately beneath your artificial grass. Using it as a soil separator is more common if you have a very "clay-like" soil - where you want to avoid "subbase contamination". Subbase contaimination occurs when your clay native soil migrates into your subbase - making the subbase more expansive.

The difference between an artificial lawn installation that will last one year and one that you will be able to enjoy for many years – will be determined by the quality of your installation and product selection.
Product selection extends beyond your artificial lawn – it includes the type of infill chosen, the type of perimeter frame used, the seaming materials (tape and glue) and the type of base among others. Some choices are dictated by the intended application/use of your artificial lawn – others are simply necessary in all instances if you want a long lasting installation. Some products are commodities and should be purchased at local supply yards – to minimize transportation costs. These “commodity” products include sand, class II base, decomposed granite, sod staples, and 5” nails. Other products should be selected with purpose and intent – it is these products that we have chosen to offer through our store front.
Comfort comes from using the right type and amount of infill – knowing when to use a rubber coated sand for weight and to achieve the appropriate fall test ratings – knowing when a crumb rubber infill, a sand + crumb rubber mixture, or an acrylic coated sand may be appropriate. Knowing when an fine or course infill may be appropriate is also key.
